International Mineralogical Association. The IMA is the world's largest organisation promoting mineralogy. It has a membership comprising 39 national mineralogical societies or groups, and is affiliated to the International Union of Geological Sciences.
The Virtual Museum of the History of Mineralogy includes antiquarian books, goniometers, crystal models, antique labels, and optical and other instruments once used in mineralogy or crystallography. The objects on display are treasures kept in different museums, institutes, and private collections all over the world.
